Statistics from the Washington Employment Security Department show that the Evergreen State's health care industry has by far the most job vacancies than any other industry statewide. There were 4,488 unfilled Registered Nurse positions throughout the state in April--45 percent were full-time positions, more than 80 percent were permanent, and almost 30 percent had been open for 60 days or more.
