New Hampshire Health Care Programs
The New Hampshire Department of Employment Security reports that the health care industry is the second largest employer in New Hampshire, with 102,900 active workers in May 2007. Also, five of the fastest growing New Hampshire jobs are in the health care industry, including medical assisting, dental assistants, home health aides, and dental hygienists. Since the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics claims that health care management professionals will prefer to hire well-trained applicants, prospective employees can increase their hiring chances by attending accredited nursing schools or medical programs.
Health care schools can give students the chance to take courses in anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, or other areas. Current health care workers can benefit from health care programs by earning nursing CEUs or other continuing education credits. After graduation, students can seek out employment with hospitals, private clinics, medical insurance companies, and other medical institutions.
